Please fill out form here: https://forms.gle/AnG4sNC4qqARYvbV9 Sundays 11am-2pm April 6th - May 25th In this hands-on, eight-week class, students will develop an understanding of mixing and applying glaze through structured testing and experimentation. No prior glaze knowledge is required- just curiosity and a willingness to document and learn from results. What You’ll Learn: Week 1: Making test tiles, understanding cone ranges, glaze components, and safe mixing. Week 2: Exploring colorants, opacifiers, and learning line blend testing. Week 3: Selecting and modifying base glazes using Glazy.org. Week 4: Adjusting glaze properties—glossy, matte, and satin finishes. Week 5: Identifying and troubleshooting common glaze defects. Week 6: Fine-tuning glaze recipes for color, texture, and transparency. Week 7: Applying and layering final glaze tests. Week 8: Final critique, sharing discoveries, and independent testing strategies. This class is for self-motivated students who enjoy learning through experimentation and want to refine their glazing skills through systematic testing and analysis.
